Gourmet Frozen Yogurt Franchise Will Open their First Location in Nevada
Las Vegas – Yumz Gourmet Frozen Yogurt, a unique, self-serve gourmet frozen yogurt store that provides irresistible taste in thousands of sweet combinations, will open its 14th store nationwide, on Friday, May 2. A ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Las Vegas Metro Chamber of Commerce and local community leaders will be held at 10 a.m. that day at the location 6135 S. Fort Apache Rd. Suite 400, Las Vegas, NV 89148. This is the company’s first Western United States location.
To celebrate the Las Vegas grand opening weekend, the first 30 customers to visit Yumz Gourmet Frozen Yogurt on Friday, May 2 at 11 a.m. will receive a free cup of frozen yogurt. On Saturday, May 3, 98.5 KLUC radio station with Chet Buchannan will broadcast live from the location from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., with free giveaways including concert tickets to the Backstreet Boys and New Kids on the Block.
On Sunday, May 4, Yumz will donate 10 percent of the store proceeds to the Douglas J. Green Memorial Foundation, a volunteer-based, nonprofit organization that provides comfort, support and supplies to service members and their families by sending care packages during their deployments. In addition, Yumz will accept monetary or individual snack package donations for the foundation, and promote the Fallen Heroes 5k/10k charity run to take place on Saturday, May 17.
At 2,360 square feet, the store will feature free Wi-Fi, indoor and outdoor seating and will offer a 600 square-foot party room with amenities that include a flat screen television and frozen yogurt catering packages. The party room will be available for birthday parties, team sport parties and business meetings. The Las Vegas location will be owned and managed by Tanner Hodson, a native of Las Vegas who attended Bonanza High School. Hodson is active in the LDS community and volunteers with many organizations, including Boy Scouts of America.
Yumz Gourmet Frozen Yogurt is known for its rotating selection of more than 55 frozen yogurt flavors that are all fat free, low in calories and full of probiotics. The stores feature more than 75 toppings such as fruits, nuts, sauces and candy. Yumz Gourmet Frozen Yogurt stores are located in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa and Florida, with new stores opening in Nevada and Wisconsin in May. The company also offers its frozen yogurt in Yumz Express kiosks, which are opening in Illinois, Nevada, Wisconsin, Florida, Iowa and other states in 2014.
